About Centre for Stellar and Planetary Astrophysics
CSPA was established in 2001 to act as a focus for stellar and planetary research within
the Australian astronomical community. It aims to:
- Foster and strengthen research at Monash in all areas of astronomy and
astrophysics, but with special emphasis on the study of stars, planets and related
systems
- Provide a stimulating environment for attracting high-quality graduate students
- Maintain and strengthen its role in the Australian astronomical community
- Foster closer connections with other areas of astronomy and astrophysics,
particularly observational astronomy.
