"multi-TeV Gamma-Ray Astronomy"

Gamma-ray astronomy at TeV (10$^{12}$ eV) energies is a new and vibrant field providing a new view into extreme processes in high energy astrophysics. The current generation telescopes such as H.E.S.S., VERITAS, and MAGIC show that a growing variety of objects such as supernova remnants, pulsar nebulae, massive stellar binaries and clusters, active galaxies, and more, are able to accelerate particles to energies well beyond 10 TeV. This talk will focus on the next steps towards new gamma-ray telescopes with an emphasis on pushing towards even higher energies above 100 TeV, along with prospects for doing this in Australia.
